The Music of Franz Schubert at SUNY
There will be a concert of music by Franz Schubert on Thursday, April 10, at 8 PM in the Jacobus Lounge of Brockway Hall. Admission is free. The event will feature Ben Wells, (tenor) singing four songs from Die Shone Mullerin by Franz Schubert. Maria Mucaria (flute) will play the last movement (Finale) from the "Arpeggione" Sonata. Marina Gorelaya (piano) will be accompanist for both Wells and Mucaria.
Finally, there will be a performance of the Piano Quintet in A Major "Trout Quintet" op. post.114 D 667 by Franz Schubert.The quintet will include Marina Gorelaya (piano), Lois Pfister (violin), Marion Giambattista (viola), Jim Weiss (‘cello), and Garrett Beaty (string bass).
